Guzi-West Inspection and Consulting, LLC is seeking qualified candidates to add a member to our Northern California team. A candidate who will succeed in this position is a self starter, with great organization and stellar written and verbal communication skills. Work would include completing hazardous material surveys including testing for asbestos, lead, mold and more, project management, operation of technical equipment, report writing, and much more. The most competitive applicant will have some or all the following::
• Certification as an Asbestos Consultant, Professional Geologist, Industrial Hygienist, Lead Inspector/Assessor/Supervisor, etc. Certifications with experience from other states will be considered
• A minimum of 3 years experience in the environmental consulting sector working with hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, mold, radon, etc.)
• A minimum of 3 years experience in the environmental consulting sector working with hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, mold, radon, etc.)
• Self-starter with a strong attention and excellent organization skills, capable of working in a fast paced environment
• Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and willingness to work overtime and travel as projects require
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Capable of following safe work practices and company guidelines while climbing ladders, performing site surveys and wearing PPE (Tyvek, respiratory protection), and lifting equipment (<30lbs).
• Basic map drafting skills
• Have any of the following certifications: (CAC/CSST, CDPH Lead PM or I/A, Asbestos Building Inspector or Contractor Supervisor)
• 4-Year Bachelor of Science / Degree in Industrial Hygiene (or related).
• Experience preforming mold investigations
• Strong technical skills (computer use, report writing, map making, regulatory knowledge, etc.)
• Experience growing a team and handling client relationships
Example of potential day-to-day responsibilities:
• Project management & hazardous material field surveys
• Running air sampling equipment, taking material samples, microscope analysis
• Managing client relationships & providing technical guidance on regulatory or environmental subjects
• Commuting to jobsites and transferring equipment
• Job scheduling and other administrative tasks
• Report writing and/or briefing clients on survey results
• Research and training
Health, dental, and vision coverages offered. General salary range listed, pay will be dependent upon experience.
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
